ADDING "READ MORE" TO BLOG

If your posts are long which affect your blog, and you want to show the only summary to the reasers that they decide either to read the all material you provided or the summary is enough for them, then here you can do it.

-To do this you have to edit your template code.

-So doing this without care is harmful to your template.

-To avoid this first Back up your template, then proceed.

Done it. Ok.

Go through these steps:

• Now Login to the Blogger.
• If you own more than one, then find the blog you want to edit. To find, go to the "Dashboard", click the "Layout" link of the appropriate blog, then click the sub-button "Edit HTML".

Now you are about to change the template code.

Step 1:

Check the box just before "expand widget templates"

Step 2:
Now search for

and now just before it insert the next code

done it.

Step 3:

Search for

or /font>

and just after it insert the next code

The result must be like this:

Step 4:

• Now click on "Save Template" button.
• This is finished now, but here is some easy step remaining, we need to some code to the post template. It's too easy.

Step 5:

• Now go back to the "Settings".
• Select "Formatting".
• At the bottom of the page you will find Post Template form. Just copy and paste the next code into it. PPost Before “read more”And here is the rest of it

Step 6:

• Now you go the New Post, try to post a new post and there you will find the code into the post body: Post Before “read more”And here is the rest of it
• Put the part of the post that you want it to appears at your blog index and archive pages instate of:” Post Before “read more”
• and put the rest of the post instate of:“And here is the rest of it”
• Now publish your post and Enjoy....

Additional info:

If you wanna change the ‘read more’ text to be some thing like.more details, continue reading, or read more….,just change the word “Read more!” in step 3 to the word that you want.
